The Neighborhood Security watch program in Mililani is sponsored by the Honolulu Police Department, and is a program which involves total citizen participation and involvement in a self help cooperative battle against crime. Its primary purpose is the protection of our communities and our property.
What is Neighborhood Security Watch?
Neighborhood Security Watch brings neighbors together – to become the eyes and ears of the neighborhood. You’ll learn how to make your home and family safer. Most of all, you learn what’s normal in your neighborhood so that you can recognize what is SUSPICIOUS.
How do
we start?
Host a one-hour evening meeting in your neighborhood. Invite the
neighbors on your street or cul de sac. HPD Crime Prevention
officers and MTA’s Watch Coordinator will come and get your group
informed and organized. Call MTA’s Neighborhood Security Watch
program at 440-2633. We will help you get you started!
What happens after the meeting?
Participants will receive a packet filled with:
- Neighborhood Phone Tree - Block Map
- Important Phone Numbers - Crime Prevention Information
Every 2 months you will receive a Neighborhood Watch Newsletter with Mililani crime statistics and other information. Most of all, you will know that your neighbors are watching out for your family and your property!
Do NOT be the next victim of property crime in Mililani!
