Mahalo to Oahu Free Plant Shares for hosting this feature!
A Plant Share offers gardeners of all levels a free, sustainable way to exchange plants, seeds, seedlings, cuttings, fruits, vegetables, and gardening supplies. If you’re new to gardening or don’t have any plants to exchange – bring individually packaged non-perishable treats, fresh fruit or vegetables to share!
PLANT SHARE RULES:
- You must bring something to share to participate.
- Items must be related to gardening/plants or individually packaged non-perishable treats/snacks, fruits, or vegetables.
- Plants should be in good or revivable condition.
- The host reserves the right to decline or limit items brought to the plant share.
- This is a plant share only – no bartering or sales.
- No resale of any plants or items received from the Plant Share.
- All plant share items must be free of invasive pests.
PLANT SHARE PROTOCOL:
- Drop off items at PLANT SHARE tents BEFORE 12:00 pm.
- You will receive a wristband – one per participant, maximum of 2 per family/group. Wristband required to participate.
- Please follow instructions/signs during the plant share.
- First 30 minutes: Participants are only allowed to take ONE plant/item at this time.
- Only shoeboxes or small trays are allowed in the Plant Share area.
- Large boxes must be clearly labeled and placed in the designated RESERVED AREA along the wall.
- DO NOT take items from the RESERVED AREA. All Plant Share items are under the tents.
- Oahu Free Plant Shares will distribute any unclaimed plant share items at their discretion.
NOTES:
- There will be seats for kupuna to use before and during the plant share.
- More valuable items may be raffled during the plant share. Raffles will be done after the first 30 minutes and facilitated by host.
- Be pono. Please give everyone a chance to enjoy the share.

GIVEAWAY RULES:
Eligibility: Must be an MTA Member/Resident 21 years or older, and in good standing to win. A valid MTA card number or address is required on the entry form. The winner must be listed in the household on the entry form.
How to Enter: This promotion begins on June 20, 2026, at 9 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. on June 20, 2026. Entries must be submitted to the Mililani Town Association at Rec 5 by 2 p.m. on June 20, 2026. ONE ENTRY PER HOUSEHOLD. You do not need to be present to win. No purchase necessary and no money exchange required to enter. Information submitted will not be used for marketing purposes.
Prize: Hawaiian Package | Five (5) Day, Four (4) Nights Hotel & Meal Package (airfare not included) Package for two (2). Two prizes available – one winner per household.
Winner Notification and Prize Pick-Up: The winner(s) will be chosen at random the week following the event. Winners will be verified as MTA Members in good standing and notified by June 26, 2026. The winner(s) will have until July 17, 2026, to pick up the prize from the MTA Admin Office located at 95-303 Kaloapau Street • Mililani, HI 96789 during business hours (M-F 8:00 am – 4:30 pm | Closed on holidays). Alternate winner(s) will be chosen on July 20, 2026, if the prize(s) are unclaimed. The winner(s) agree to have their photo taken and used in future MILILANI NEWS newsletters and other MTA media.
