BWS: Mauka residents asked to conserve water.

Aloha,

The Board of Water Supply (BWS) continues to make adjustments to the water system to address Mililani Mauka residents’ concerns about milky water.

Due to current demand, today the BWS needs to run pumping equipment between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. near our Mililani 994’ Reservoir by Mililani Recreation Center No. 7.  Based on area water demand, we may need to run the pump daily during these times over the next week.  This is to further ensure continuity of water service and adequate pressures to the community.

The BWS will also request that Mililani Mauka residents conserve water and use it for essential needs only – cooking, drinking, and personal hygiene – and to hold off for now on other water uses such as watering lawns, washing cars, etc.  Using water conservatively will help the pumping system to keep up with demand.

The BWS apologizes for the inconvenience from the pumping equipment noise and appreciates the community’s cooperation and understanding while we work to resolve the issue.

Information about this situation is posted on our website at https://www.boardofwatersupply.com/mainbreaks under “Community Advisories.”

Please let us know if you have questions.

Mahalo and have a pleasant day,

~Tracy Burgo
